From the 19th to the 22nd of May 2010, at Fiera di Carrara, the “Pezzi al Forte. Il Design scopre la Liguria” exhibition
makes its debut with unreleased pieces in natural stone, developed by a group of designer bound to Liguria as to birth, activity or personal growth, and
manufactured by leading italian companies. “Pezzi al Forte” displays accessories and objects in marble, granite, slate and d-stone conceived to be placed
in touristic-welcoming centres or to requalify collective spaces.
The exhibition’s aim is that of stimulating the awareness about design and promoting the culture of utilizing natural material by joining the
designers’ creativity with the companies’ competences.
For this special occasion Davide Conti presents “1×5”, octagonal vase made in slate by “Ardesia Fontanabuona” of Monleone di
Cicagna (Genoa). This project wants to convince the local realities of the fact that it is possible to make high quality and impact design in Liguria: it is
dedicated to Liguria and to the Tigullio area in particular.
Fair opening time: Wed-Fri from 10.00 to 18.00; Sat from 10.00 to 17.00 – free entrance for workers in the sector.
The “Pezzi al Forte. Il design scopre la Liguria” will also be hosted in the prestigious frame of “Fortezza Monumentale del Priamar” in Savona (Italy) from
the 11th to the 25th of June 2010.
