From March 27 to April 9, 2017, a delegation of 25 interior designers from the best chinese schools and universities, will visit Italy, through a journey that will take them to discover some of the best Italian excellences of design and they will also get to visit the Salone del Mobile in Milan. This is the first edition of a project developed by the Shanghai Tongji University and the Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design that aims to discover famous italian design brands and design companies through a “Design Trip” as a cultural and educational journey. ADI (Association for Industrial Design) participated in the organization reporting and offering some of the best Italian companies who have happily joined the project offering availability for the tour in their offices. In fact during the trip, we will visit the companies in the cities of: Rome, Florence, Carrara, Chiavari and Milan. Furthermore during the stay in Milan, we will visit the ADI head quarter with the President Luciano Galimberti and will be organized design courses for the chinese designers at the Politecnico of Milano. Davide Conti, General Manager of ADI in China will lead the designers while traveling in Italy. This proposal to the designer will include an early stage in Shanghai; two days lessons that will be taught by Davide Conti and in the final part the trip to Europe a similar path but on the Spanish country that will depart from Barcelona to Madrid before returning to China.
