Davide Conti, head of ADI China initiatives, was invited at the end of March in Foshan, Guangdong Province, on the occasion of the main prize of Chinese ceramics sector: the China Ceramics Pioneers List (CCPL). The award, considered the Oscar of the Chinese industry, aims to select the best Chinese companies active in the sector to put them in touch with the world market.
The goal of the event, founded in 2004 and now in its seventh edition on the initiative of the China Ceramic Industry Association (CCIA) and the weekly “Ceramic Town Weekly”, is to bring together the best the country has to offer in terms of machine tools and equipment, raw materials and final products (from tiles to health) of the entire chain of ceramics, from production to distribution, focusing on quality and innovation.
Nominations come from every province of China, involving hundreds of companies, and are carefully examined in a selection process that lasts five and a half months. The best are the prize through new outlets on the world market, and companies are put in contact with the industry around the world, and work together to improve quality.
