It has concluded april 16 2016 during the Campionato Mondiale di Pesto Genovese al Mortaio the contest of ADI Liguria “PESTO&MORTAIO”. The 1st prize goes to the project under the motto “Pesta lì in verde speranza” by Gianluigi Landoni, the 2nd prize was awarded to the project marked by the motto “Tutu” by Paolo Metaldi and in 3rd place the project with the motto “101213” by Terenzio Angelo Valentino. These are therefore the results of the 1st PESTO&MORTAIO International Design Contest promoted by ADI Liguria. The competition, which has the support of the Regione Liguria and the  Dipartimento di Scienze per l’Architettura – Scuola Politecnica dell’Università degli Studi di Genova, required to celebrate and revive the traditional Ligurian pesto, to rethink the essentials: a mortar and pestle, traditional tools of the Ligurian cuisine: “Types of very ancient objects made of materials very ancient: the marble and wood. That required candidates a reinterpretation that takes account of tradition, but with the freedom to propose solutions that can adapt to change costumes and cuisine.”
