On 3 September 2021, after the success of the previous editions, IDM – Italian Design Masterclass, returns in 2021 and strengthens its main features with new partners and services for Chinese design professionals.
Peculiarity of the course is the academic partnership with Politecnicodi Torino, Istituto Europe del Design – IED and Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti – NABAand thanks to other collaborations with Italian academic professors, lessons will be offered to Chinese designers in the sectors; interior design, fashion design and industrial design. This year, in addition to the previous Italian companies, 23 other Italian companies will be added that will be protagonists during the lessons and will support the professors to create a lesson with a unique value for Chinese professionals who want to learn more about the values of Italian design.
About 20 Chinese design media that this year will support the promotion of the course as well as a the strategic media partnership with Fuorisalone.it, 4 Chinese trade associations as institutional partners, and a disclosure through the wechat IDM platform that will cover not only Shanghai but all of China.
Each lesson will allow Chinese students (young recent graduates and professionals) to deepen the culture of the Italian project, the technical features of the products, the philosophy of the brand, the new trends in the sector, see and study the best cases of the company, learn about materials and finishes useful to know its secrets and the possibilities of use in spaces and projects for their customers.
IDM, unique in its conception in its third edition, will bring a new model to Chinese students to learn and know Italian design by giving them a complete and innovative vision by offering them to deepen cultural, design and business aspects, as well as guaranteeing them a certificate. authoritative and institutional.
Educating, promoting, witnessing, are some of the keywords of IDM which will see its opening ceremony for the 2021 edition on 3 September 2021 in Shanghai, at the Merchant Marine Club, a historic and prestigious location for the city, where they will be present in addition to Italian and Chinese authorities, over 100 guests rigorously selected from universities, design media, trade associations and renowned Chinese designers.
