On 28 October 2022, after the success of the previous editions, IDM – Italian Design Masterclass, returns with a new networking and in-depth event, developing its main features with new partners and services for Chinese professionals in the furniture design sector, of fashion and the product.
IDM – Italian Design Masterclass, is the first course for Chinese designers, which is positioned as the first Italian extra-academic design course of high quality and professionalism on the Chinese market that benefits from the patronage of MAECI – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation .
The course conceived in 2018 by Davide Conti and co-founded with the support of SPCCD – Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design in Shanghai, is this year organized by the Italian government agency ITA-ICE in Shanghai, by SPCCD, supported by the Consulate. General of Shanghai and with Davide Conti in coordination of the whole project.
Peculiarity of the course is the academic partnership with Politecnico di Torino, Istituto Europe del Design – IED and Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti – NABA and thanks also to other collaborations with Italian academic professors, lessons will be offered to Chinese designers in the sectors; interior design, fashion design and industrial design.
Each lesson will allow Chinese students (young recent graduates and professionals) to deepen the culture of the Italian project, the technical features of the products, the philosophy of the brand, the new trends in the sector, see and study the best cases of the company, learn about materials and finishes useful to know its secrets and the possibilities of use in spaces and projects for their customers in China.
IDM, unique in its conception in its fourth edition, will bring a new model to Chinese students to learn and know Italian design by giving them a complete and innovative vision by offering them to deepen cultural, design and business aspects, as well as guaranteeing them a certificate authoritative and institutional.
