The last network event of 2023 and news launch 2024 of Italian Design Masterclass – IDM has just concluded successfully on 27 October 2023, in its fifth edition.

IDM is the first course for Chinese designers, which is positioned as the first high quality and professional Italian extra-academic design course on the Chinese market which takes advantage of the patronage of the MAECI – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The course conceived in 2019 by Davide Conti and co-founded with the support of SPCCD – Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design in Shanghai, is also co-organized this year with the support of ITA-ICE in Shanghai, by SPCCD, and supported by the Consulate General of Shanghai.

A peculiarity of the course is the academic partnership with the Polytechnic of Turin, the Europe Institute of Design – IED and the New Academy of Fine Arts – NABA and thanks also to other collaborations with Italian academic professors, lessons will be offered to Chinese designers in the sectors; interior design, fashion design and industrial design.

IDM has grown over the years, a platform with around 100 Italian companies promoted in China, an institutional channel for the training and promotion of Italian and made in Italy design, in fact, in addition to the courses, online activities, live streaming, or events have been developed of networks, forums and stories about our companies to Chinese professionals and institutions.

The news just launched for 2024 is another important piece for the project, that is, IDM Map, IDM membership and IDM Design Trip, soon also thanks to the reopening of flights after the Covid period, we will bring Chinese professionals to Italy to study, visit our companies participating in IDM for a full immersion in beauty, discovery of Italy and quality business.
