Promote the district of ceramics in the world and outside of their own context , through operations of cultural value and according to the rules and the languages of design. This is the ambitious aim of the exhibition Le sette città. “e Madunnette” laiche by Luca Scacchetti which was inaugurated on February 28 at the Art Gallery of Savona and will go to Milan at the Oratory of the Passion in St. Ambrose 10 to 15 September next , with vernissage Monday, September 9 , at 19 , in the presence of well-known critic Prof. Philippe Daverio and Milanese gallerist Jean Blanchaert .
Seven cities as the total number of Madonnette that take shape by the respective watercolors that the Milanese architect and designer Luca Scacchetti designed inspired by the theme of the great cities of the world Calvino : cities built on repetitions manic single-issue , repeating a single constructive element to the nth power .
So come Ciminiera, Gradonia, Roofiana, Turrina, Arconia, Pilastra e Strambia , the seven cities that thanks to the meeting of Luca Scacchetti with the potter Tullio Mazzotti become many ” niches ” in the wake of those recurring at the crossroads of the streets of Albisole .
At the end of the Milan , the seven kiosks will be placed and set in some of the towns historic buildings Ligurian Sea Albissola and Savona , in dialogue with the existing patrimony of Madonnette creating a new network of urban values and testimonies .
The exhibition was conceived and organized under the auspices of ADI Liguria and the creative direction of Angelo Dadda (CEO of the advertising agency Looping Srl ), the catalog of the same is also enhanced by the editorial contributions of Luisa Bocchietto ( ADI National President ) the signature of the successful Milanese gallerist Jean Blanchaert and an intriguing review of the well-known critic Prof. Philippe Daverio .
An ambitious project – made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Savona, the contribution of the Chamber of Commerce of Savona and the Foundation de Mari and sponsored by the Association of Architects of the Province of Savona and the City of Albissola Marina – which aims to add value and to a contemporary artistic and cultural heritage , memory and testimony to the thriving arts and crafts of the area.
The ceramic works have been carried out – for free – from the most important workshop of Albissola Marina, one of Tullio Mazzotti , and media of the works were made by Progroup , a leader in the field of contract furniture located in Ovada , such as technical contribution.
The exhibition is made even richer and more interesting by the presence of seven watercolors by Luca Scacchetti referred to the pottery works and the realization of wonderful etchings that the architect has been achieved thanks to the collaboration and involvement of the bark beetle , historical printing, author of Alfredo Meconi , located in Albissola Marina. The graphic collection consists of seven folders each one dedicated to the ideal cities in the exhibition. In each folder four different versions , four languages that represent four different paths and possible art itself incision.
Le sette città. “e Madunnette” laiche , through these collaborations , is a project artistic touches to 360 degrees across the arts , hand-crafted pottery and screen printing of the author , using some of the best mastery of Liguria.
